The Role: As the Assistant Coordinator at St Joseph’s Weipa OSHC, you’ll play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for school-aged children. You’ll be the creative spark behind engaging activities and a trusted leader for our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Implementation: Assist in planning, organising, and delivering a variety of activities that foster learning, creativity, and physical activity.
- Team Support: Collaborate with the Nominated Supervisor to lead and motivate a team of dedicated educators and support staff, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Child Engagement: Build strong, trusting relationships with children, offering individual support and attention to ensure they feel secure and happy.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with parents, caregivers, and educators, addressing concerns and keeping everyone informed about program activities.
- Administrative Tasks: Help with scheduling, record-keeping, and managing supplies to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all activities and procedures adhere to the highest safety and regulatory standards, maintaining a secure environment for all participants.
