Catholic Early Learning & Care (CELC) is seeking an experienced and passionate Relief Kindy Teacher to join our vibrant and dedicated early childhood education team. This casual position supports our Kindy services across multiple locations, covering the region from Redlynch to Silkwood, ensuring continuity of care and quality education during staff absences, leave periods, or peak times.

This role is ideal for a dynamic and flexible early childhood teacher who thrives in diverse learning environments and values community connection, cultural respect, and inclusive practices.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

As a Relief Kindy Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality, inclusive early childhood education aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard

  • Implement and adapt Kindy programs that foster children’s curiosity, creativity, social development, and lifelong love of learning

  • Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and local communities

  • Work collaboratively with service leaders, educators, and school teams to maintain consistency and uphold CELC’s philosophy and policies

  • Travel to different CELC Kindy sites as required, providing professional and reliable relief teaching support

Desired Skills and Experience

Your Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent (ACECQA-approved qualification)

  • Current QCT (Queensland College of Teachers) registration

  • Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)

  • Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management certifications

  • Excellent communication, planning, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining consistency in practice

  • Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle, with willingness to travel between sites across Redlynch, Innisfail, Gordonvale, Silkwood and surrounding areas
