Job Description
Your Role: As our Support Worker (Cook), you’ll be the culinary star of our Centre, creating wholesome meals that delight young palates while meeting their nutritional needs. Working alongside our Nominated Supervisor, you’ll bring your passion for food, health, and community to life, all while embracing the values and vision of our Diocese.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Crafting and implementing a delicious, nutritious weekly menu in line with CELC’s Health and Safety – Nutrition and Menu Planning Policy.
Creating meaningful connections with team members, families, and the local community through respect and open communication.
Following and maintaining the Food Safety Program and Food Business License requirements.
Keeping accurate records, ensuring incoming goods are fresh and safe, and maintaining a hygienic, organised kitchen.
Preparing meals and snacks that fuel learning, laughter, and play throughout the day.
Managing food purchasing and ensuring the weekly financial budget is met.
Engaging in professional development and contributing to the service’s Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
